About the Role
With significant growth in the past 24 months we are seeking to recruit a proven fee earner. The Solicitor will have the support of a legal secretary and oversee the carriage of approx. 100 Personal Injury matters predominantly across Public Liability. The solicitor will ensure customer care across their practice is satisfactory from engagement through to the resolution of individual clients’ legal matters. The Solicitor will identify continuous improvement strategies for their practice and assist in the implementation of identified strategies. They will actively seek opportunities to promote the other commercial services offered by LHD Lawyers outside their own practice with the goal of client retention.
About the Candidate
We currently have an opportunity for a proven fee earner with minimum 5 years’ Post Admission plaintiff personal injury law experience. The successful candidate will have had experience primarily with public liability claims. They will also have some experience with personal injury claims; work place injury damages, motor vehicle accidents or common law industrial accidents. They will have excellent advocacy skills and proven file management experience.
We are looking for a down to earth individual that is diligent and professional with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work autonomously within a team structure. - The candidate must have a proven working experience with Public Liability claims in New South Wales.
- Experience preparing matters for hearing in the District and Supreme Court, including attending court and commissions for hearing as well as briefing and liaising with counsel
- Strong client-facing, negotiation and communication skills with a genuine interest in helping the client;
- Demonstrated skills in effective networking and relationship management;
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems proactively and satisfactorily;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Well-developed multi-tasking and organisational skills;
- Can-do approach with the ability to professionally challenge the status-quo;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- An ability to think strategically to identify growth opportunities.
